Large rear wheels

The rear of the centre frame is equipped with large wheels to carry the weight of the bar in transport and to minimise compaction in field.

Independent seed units

Each seed unit assembly has its own press wheel for depth control and soil consolidation after sowing. The large trailing seed unit is pulled down into work by its own hydraulic ram creating up to 1200 psi which gives approximately 250 kg trip force and 180 kg packing pressure. The unique geometry and hydraulic trip system give a smooth break-back and controlled reset.

Fixed height, ground hugging frame

The fixed height bar with hydraulically controlled seed units gives the ultimate in depth control. The contouring ability of the bar isn’t only down to the seed unit. Each wing hinge has its own folding ram and the pressure in these rams can be increased or decreased depending on the soil conditions and whether or not the seed cart is mounted on the bar or trailed behind.

Unique hydraulic system

Pressure is maintained on the seed unit by a constant oil flow from the tractor hydraulics. With a constant oil flow and pressure in the hydraulic circuit, each seed unit’s working depth is controlled by a depth governing press wheel.
