Precise Product Delivery with Fenix III

High-yielding, high-quality crops are characterized by their ability to utilize inputs to their full potential. Väderstad’s Fenix III metering system ensures precise delivery of products, resulting in evenly spaced plants in the seed row that have access to the desired rate of nutrients throughout the growing season. For Model Year 2026, farmers can now rely on an updated version of the Fenix III featuring two main enhancements that work with two different levers: a new housing design and a centralized airstream selection mechanism.

The first lever on the Fenix III metering system allows farmers to change the diverter plate directions simultaneously. By using this lever, the flow can be directed either to the seeding tube or the fertilizer tube, streamlining the process significantly. This enhancement ensures a more efficient and quicker setup, allowing farmers to focus more on seeding and less on equipment adjustments.

The second lever opens the lower housing plate for easy access during calibration, clean out and maintenance. This feature reduces downtime and ensures that the metering system remains in optimal condition and consistent performance throughout the planting season.

Compaction Reduction with Optional Dual Tires for the PD 820, and PD 1000, and Standard Dual Tires for the PD 620, and PD 1350

Successful crop establishment depends on the ability of plant roots to grow and develop throughout the soil profile. The Model Year 2026 includes new dual tire options, making it the perfect fit for any operation looking to reduce soil compaction and improve root growth and plant nutrient uptake. The PD 820 and PD 1000 now feature larger tires on the front axle with single 900/75R32 tires. The rear axle also features large single 1250/50R32 tires with the option to upgrade to dual 900/75R32 tires. The standard for the PD 680 is the dual 30.5L32 tires with the option to upgrade to single 1250/50R32 tires.

For the PD 1350, farmers can continue to rely on the dependable front steering axle to handle its impressive capacity of 1,350 bushels and ensure optimal weight distribution across the dual VF710/70R42 tires, allowing for smooth handling even with a full load, helping reduce compaction concerns without sacrificing maneuverability. The rear axle is equipped with dual VF900/60R42 tires and hydraulic disc brakes for added control.
