Tempo can drill rape and sugar beet

Väderstad is now launching the option to drill rape and sugar beet with Tempo R. The company has re-designed the row units and re-configured the machine with a new narrower row spacing of 45-55 cm.

Farming simulator launched with Väderstad

The game Farming Simulator 2013 can now be complemented with the Väderstad machines Carrier, Rapid, Rapid A, Tempo and TopDown. Players are challenged in the role of landowners and farmers, with tasks which include running a farm that has animals and cereals and buying/selling land.

Väderstad acquires Canadian air seeder manufacturer

Väderstad has taken over full ownership of the Canadian company Seed Hawk, in which it has been a part-owner since 2006. Seed Hawk is a manufacturer of air seeders based in Langbank, Canada. The acquisition will permit expansion on the North American market.

Rapid 300-400C/S gets a facelift

This includes new tyres with greater lifespan and System Disc Aggressive. The new tyres have 50 percent longer lifespan. This together with greater contact area means less downtime and leaves a better structure in the soil surface.

Presenting the world's largest seed drill

Väderstad Seed Hawk presented the world’s largest seed drill recently at the Farm Progress Show in Canada. The cart for seed and fertiliser can hold an astounding 46 cubic metres, weighs over 15 tonnes empty and is over 15 metres long. The weight of the hopper is distributed over four tracks in order to minimise soil compaction

Demonstration i Czech Republic with Claas

At the latest Agrall field day in Czech Republic with over 600 visitors, Väderstad carried out a field demonstration with the German tractor and harvester maker Claas. The invitees witnessed the complete range in action from both Väderstad and Claas totaling over 50 machines.

Greater precision and time saving with Väderstad GPS Control

From November 2012 on, all Väderstad pneumatic Rapid and Spirit drills will be fitted with new software including GPS Control. Using GPS Control and a connection with Trimble GPS system, the machines will automatically start and stop seed metering on headlands and automatically control section activation in irregular areas.
