NZ Extreme passes 1 500 hectares in Slovakia

The heavy-duty tine harrow Väderstad NZ Extreme is undergoing long-life testing in Slovakia this spring. The NZ Extreme 1425, which was transported to Slovakia directly from Agritechnica last year, is now passing 1 500 hectares in the field.

Väderstad named as one of Saskatchewan's Top Employers for 2020

Saskatchewan's economic fortunes might be slowly turning the corner, but employers in the province are increasingly taking steps to improve their workplace practices and human resource policies. Väderstad was recognized as one of Saskatchewan's Top Employers for 2020 today, announced by Mediacorp Canada Inc., organizers of the annual Canada's Top 100 Employers project.

Väderstad, one of the world’s leading companies in soil cultivation and seeding technology, is strengthening its Board of Directors with Danish-British agricultural specialist Poul Hovesen. Poul has been praised for his efforts in British agriculture and has been collaborating with Väderstad since the 1990s. Väderstad experiences new record year – ends the decade on a high

Swedish agricultural machinery manufacturer Väderstad finished the decade on a high, recording a turnover during the 2019 financial year of SEK 3.35 billion and an operating profit of SEK 172 million. That represents an increase in turnover of 11 percent and an increase in earnings of almost 24 percent on the previous year.

Väderstad sells its 5000th Tempo

At Agritechnica 2019, Väderstad, the Swedish specialist in soil cultivation and seeding technology, handed over the Tempo V 12 high-speed precision planter to Stefan Kürbs from the agricultural services Kürbs in Apolda near Weimar. One of the Väderstad owners and "father" of many innovative developments, Crister Stark, was also present at the handover.

The Tempo has been built in Väderstad, Sweden, since 2012. Since April 2017, the Tempo has held the world record with speeds over 20 km/h (502.05 ha in 24 hours) at maize sowing.

Väderstad one of five finalists in The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences competition, Smart industry

We are proud to have been named one of five finalists in The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences competition, Smart industry. The competition rewards companies that make use of digitisation opportunities in an innovative way with clear results. The winner will be appointed at a public seminar at The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences in Stockholm on 5 February.

Väderstad named Employer Branding Company of the Year

The awards are coming thick and fast for agricultural machinery manufacturer Väderstad at the moment. Last week they received the ‘Machine of the Year’ award at the world’s largest agricultural exhibition. Now they have also been named ‘Employer Branding Company of the Year’ by research company Universum. At the same time, they also received the ‘Career Company of the Year 2020’ seal of approval and climbed into the top 15 in a national poll of ‘Sweden’s best employers’.

Väderstad expands in Belgium together with Homburg Machinehandel

The Swedish agricultural machinery manufacturer Väderstad, which is a global leader in soil cultivation and drilling, is strengthening its presence in Belgium together with Homburg Machinehandel. Homburg, which has long been a partner to Väderstad in the Netherlands and Flemish parts of Belgium, has been the exclusive distributor of Väderstad machinery throughout Belgium since 1 October this year.
