Large Spirit now in different combi versions

For the first time Väderstad is launching Spirit in a combi version with working widths of 8-9 metres. The new Spirit models being introduced employ two different combi-drilling methods, FIX or Nordic, which place fertiliser and seeds with a high degree of accuracy, and provide huge capacity.

Modern design and innovative technology

Väderstad continues to develop seed drills for European agriculture. The latest is Spirit R 300S. An entirely new version, designed from the ground up by Spirit with even more positive characteristics than today’s machines. Spirit R 300S is available in 3 metre working widths.

Väderstad breaking new ground with SeedEye

Väderstad is presenting an entirely new and unique technology in the form of the SeedEye seed counter, for seed drills Rapid A 400-800S. Farmers can now easily set the number of seeds per square metre without needing to perform calibration tests. SeedEye provides additional functionality for Väderstad’s established control system E-Control.

Opus - a brand new member of Väderstad’s cultivator family

Opus is a brand new powerful and flexible cultivator that can work down to 40 cm. With tines spaced at 27 cm distributed across four axles and a ground clearance of 80 cm, Opus can cope with huge amounts of trash, while still only having a moderate draught requirement. A unique range of shins and points makes the cultivator very adaptable to local conditions.

Tempo can drill rape and sugar beet

Väderstad is now launching the option to drill rape and sugar beet with Tempo R. The company has re-designed the row units and re-configured the machine with a new narrower row spacing of 45-55 cm.

Farming simulator launched with Väderstad

The game Farming Simulator 2013 can now be complemented with the Väderstad machines Carrier, Rapid, Rapid A, Tempo and TopDown. Players are challenged in the role of landowners and farmers, with tasks which include running a farm that has animals and cereals and buying/selling land.

Väderstad acquires Canadian air seeder manufacturer

Väderstad has taken over full ownership of the Canadian company Seed Hawk, in which it has been a part-owner since 2006. Seed Hawk is a manufacturer of air seeders based in Langbank, Canada. The acquisition will permit expansion on the North American market.

Rapid 300-400C/S gets a facelift

This includes new tyres with greater lifespan and System Disc Aggressive. The new tyres have 50 percent longer lifespan. This together with greater contact area means less downtime and leaves a better structure in the soil surface.

Presenting the world's largest seed drill

Väderstad Seed Hawk presented the world’s largest seed drill recently at the Farm Progress Show in Canada. The cart for seed and fertiliser can hold an astounding 46 cubic metres, weighs over 15 tonnes empty and is over 15 metres long. The weight of the hopper is distributed over four tracks in order to minimise soil compaction
