The Wil-Rich 483 Chisel Pro contains two rows of serrated disc blades to cut and size residue into smaller pieces, so it can break down faster. The concave shape of the discs is designed to thoroughly mix the residue with the soil, helping to speed up the decomposition process even more.
The double-mounted discs are 61 cm in diameter with 38 cm spacing. The second rank of blades is offset, resulting in an effective blade spacing of 19 cm. This configuration provides consistent tillage across the width of the implement.
Behind the serrated disc blades are four ranks of chisel tines. These help mix and loosen soil while breaking up compaction layers up to 25 cm deep. To minimise plugging concerns in heavy residue, the tines are spaced 152 cm apart, providing excellent flow between tines. Each of the four ranks is offset for an effective tine spacing of only 38 cm. This design results in a more ideal field finish than disc rippers with wider tine spacing.
The Wil-Rich 483 Chisel Pro delivers exceptional performance by seamlessly integrating the power of a ripper with the expansive reach of a chisel plow. Its ability to operate at a maximum depth of 25 cm while requiring less horsepower than traditional disc rippers means it can cover more ground with greater efficiency, enhancing productivity on the farm. Operators can adjust the disc depth independently of the tines to accommodate different field conditions and personal preferences.
The Wil-Rich 483 Chisel Pro can be equipped with a tine harrow with or without rolling baskets. These attachments help break down dirt clods and prepare fields for winter, ensuring they are ready for the next planting season.
The combination of a harrow and rolling basket is ideal for distributing residue, breaking up clods, and creating a level field finish. The angle of the harrows can be adjusted according to conditions. Operators can also adjust the basket down pressure from the cab to achieve the desired field finish. A hydraulic lift option is available for the basket, giving operators the ability to lift it off the ground when it is not desirable to use it.
The 3- or 4-bar tubular harrow features five adjustments for tooth angle. These adjustments allow the user to set the harrow's aggressiveness according to ground conditions and the amount of residue on the soil surface. The tines are 16 mm (5/8 in) in diameter and either 66 cm (26 in) or 76 cm (30 in) long, depending on the tool they are attached to.

Wil-Rich 483 Chisel Pro tines are engineered for maximum strength and durability to minimise downtime, with an industry-leading trip pressure of 635 kg (1,400 pounds). The high trip pressure helps maintain depth in tough soil conditions while preventing damage from rocks or other obstructions.
With a maximum working depth of 25 cm, the Wil-Rich 483 Chisel Pro requires less horsepower than a disc ripper, helping to reduce fuel consumption. It also allows for wider working widths to complete tillage jobs in fewer passes and in less time.
A floating hitch on the Wil-Rich 483 Chisel Pro pivots freely where it attaches to the implement. This hitch style provides exceptional depth control and ground following.
The 56 cm walking tandems provide excellent flotation and safe transport.
Concave discs for the Wil-Rich 483 Chisel Pro were meticulously designed to mix heavy residue and soil ahead of the tines. They have serrated edges to provide better residue cutting performance than other blade types. Disc depth can be adjusted independently of the tines.
Serrated concave disc 610 mm
The 610 mm diameter serrated concave discs allow a maximum working depth of 15 cm and are capable of handling high crop residues, while the larger cut-outs increase penetration. They are C-spring mounted with an 18-degree cutting angle and a nominal spacing of 19 cm.
Four ranks of heavy-duty tines are engineered to mix in residue, loosen soil, and shatter compaction up to 25 cm deep. The 635 kg trips provide exceptional strength. Single-point depth control allows quick, easy adjustments in the field.

3-bar tine harrow with flat bar rolling basket combination
Three rows of 1.1 x 46 cm tines level the soil profile and distribute residue, while the basket crushes clods intensively on medium and heavy soils. It provides plant residue distribution during stubble cultivation and operates in wet conditions. Basket pressures are adjustable and range up to 149 kg/m. A hydraulic lift option is available for the basket, giving operators the ability to lift the rolling basket when it is not desirable to use it, such as in muddy conditions or when there is a wet spot in the field.
