Additionally, the rear feathering discs ensure an even soil profile by eliminating ridges created by the front gangs, resulting in a uniform and precise soil finish.
Spring-cushioned gangs on the Wishek 842NT help prevent damage when the discs strike a rock or other foreign object. The gangs can move 152 mm (6") rearward and upward for a total travel of 305 mm (12"). This flexibility helps prevent costly downtime and repairs.

Smooth concave disc
Smooth concave discs are available in two sizes: 71.1 cm (28") and 76.2 cm (30"). For a working depth of 23 cm (9") and better soil penetration, opt for the 71.1 cm discs. For deeper cultivation with a working depth of 25 cm (10") and longer blade life, choose the 76.2 cm discs. Plain blades are the best option for a smooth cut, making them ideal for finishing already worked soil.
Notched concave disc
Notched concave discs are available in two sizes: 71.1 cm (28") and 76.2 cm (30"). For a working depth of 23 cm (9") and better soil penetration, opt for the 71.1 cm discs. For deeper cultivation with a working depth of 25 cm (10") and longer blade life, choose the 76.2 cm discs. Notched blades provide good grip in heavy residues and better penetration ability, making them ideal for breaking new ground and working in moist conditions.
A rear hitch allows operators to pull a finishing tool, if desired, to help break up clods and level the soil profile.
